Mom is in surgery now. They took her about 10:30 am. I will let you know when I hear something from Daddy.
He said it could be about 2 hours before they tell him anything.
This surgery is to put a permanent shunt inside her head running down to her stomach.
Daddy is at the hospital today. Mom took all of her medicine last night and this morning!

I just asked Uncle Jim if he had heard anything.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the updates, even if they don't say much, it makes me feel like I am in the loop. We were out of town all weekend and could only read the blogs (on my cellphone) I need to open the instruction book to figure out how to post something from my phone.
I haven't heard is Avery feeling better? Hope so. Please thank Ethan from us, taking care of sick children is not a plesant thing to do. But by doing so you were able to spend some of the weekend with your Mom.
When you go to the hospital please give your Mom, Dad & Aunt Cheryl a hug from Iowa.
Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and our entire family. I know from experience this is a very difficult situation it is so hard to give the attention you want to all the people that need you. I also know your mother would want you to put Avery, Luke and Ethan first, and then comes your extended family.
While this may sound cruel as a mother I know Jim & I are not nor should we come before the needs of our Grandkids, Joe & Heather when it comes to how Mason & Monica plan their schedules.
As I watch you spread your self so thin, I am so proud and then worried that it may end up making you sick. Please take care of yourself, you have so many people that need you now or will be needing you soon (when your Mom comes home).
Don't get frustrated you are doing a GREAT JOB, as long as you do what your heart tells you to do it will be ok. We will back you and support any decision you make, as I know you will do the best you can and that is all anyone could ever ask of you.
Hang in there, your mother just seems to have all her high hurdles at the end of this race, she will soon reach the finish line and get to go home to finish her recovery, and start a "normal" life whatever that is.
Love Aunt Rita
